Where people come together to play, sing and enjoy acoustic music of every kind!

Plank Road is a music club in the western suburbs of Chicago. We have regularly scheduled sessions for our members, where they can participate in sing-arounds, jam sessions, song circles, barn dances and other music events. We encourage participation by everyone who attends — experienced and beginning musicians are all welcome to join in!

Plank Road was at the Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival!

The Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival has always been a favorite of ours! Many of our members enjoyed hanging out, playing, singing, and jamming around the Plank Road tent over this past Labor Day weekend.

Our 40th Anniversary Party was a great success!!!!
Thank you to all who attended and helped make it a very special day!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our 40th Anniversary on Saturday, June 14th, 2025 at the Two Way Street Coffee House in Downers Grove, IL. We had a great turnout and many of our past members were able to join us for the festivities. We also unveiled a custom display structure created by Bethany to showcase the gorgeous Plank Road Quilt handmade years ago by Jeanne Halama, which served as a stunning backdrop for our performers at the event.
